Amanda Burbank, DVMDr. Burbank, our Chief of Staff, joined Tiogue Veterinary Clinic in 2010. She spent her childhood in Coventry, but now resides in West Greenwich, RI. Dr. Burbank received her undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island in 2001 and her DVM degree from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Prior to joining our team, she worked at our sister practice, Warwick Animal Hospital. Her interests are in surgery and internal medicine.

In her free time, Dr. Burbank enjoys hiking, horseback riding, and spending time with her family, including her two dogs and four cats.

Karen Turcotte, DVMA native of Rhode Island, Dr. Turcotte joined Tiogue Veterinary Clinic in 2003. She received a BS degree in Zoology from Michigan State University in 1999. Dr. Turcotte then attended the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine, earning a DVM degree in 2003. She enjoys all aspects of general veterinary practice.

When not at the Clinic, Dr. Turcotte spends quality time with her family She has one cat named Newton.

 

April White, BVetMed with DogDr. White joined Tiogue Veterinary Clinic in September 2014. She hails from Fishers Island, NY, but now happily resides in Warwick, RI. Dr. White attended both Quinnipiac University and Syracuse University, earning her undergraduate degree in 2000 and then undertook her veterinary studies at the University of London's Royal Veterinary College, earning a BVetMed degree in 2005. Previously, she practiced at Companion Animal Hospital in Groton, CT and Warwick Animal Hospital, our sister hospital in Warwick.

Dr. White truly believes in delivering the best possible care for her clients and their pets. Her interests outside of work include knitting, sewing, exploring Rhode Island, and seeking out every dog-friendly park and beach with her adorable Boston Terrier, Wilma!

Dr. Elise Trowel, DVMDr. Trowel grew up just outside of Boston and currently lives in Providence. She received an undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut in 2009 and a veterinary degree from Purdue University in 2015. She begins her veterinary career here at Tiogue Veterinary Clinic.

Dr. Trowel's special interests include surgery, ultrasound, dentistry and preventive medicine. At home she has a Cardigan Welsh Corgi named Remy. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, drawing, painting, reading and horseback riding.
